Louise Nottage

Louise studied Graphic Design at Plymouth Art College and always wanted to pursue a career in art and design. She began hand-painting Christmas cards for family and friends over 40 years ago. Due to overwhelming demand for her unique designs, she bought a table-top letterpress printer and started running her own greetings card business, L.N. Cards, from the spare bedroom. Unfortunately, working full-time and bringing up a family intervened and her passion for painting was put on the back-burner.

Now retired, Louise is able to spend more time in her garden studio (shed..!) finally getting back to drawing and painting full time, concentrating on watercolour, which is her preferred medium and is now marketing her artwork under the LN Designs brand.

Over the years, Louise has painted a wide variety of subjects, some of which feature local scenes of Bollington, where she lives. In case you were wondering, some of the Christmas cards depict White Nancy, the local folly, which is on the hill overlooking Bollington. However, Louise really enjoys painting animal themed creations in her own style.

Her artwork is offered for sale as bespoke Christmas Cards, Greetings Cards and Mounted Prints in a variety of sizes.
